Also, the guy lived through lot of shit and traumatic experiences like we never will. It's not possible to compare how we would react to how someone like that might react.

I agree with you 100% but he's still dumb, naive and immature for allowing Robin to live. So yh as someone mentioned earlier, a typical shonen thing. Yh the disassociation likely helped but Robin legit told him to watch himself in the mirror as his sister's body (or his sister) gets raped. That's messed up and idt anyone would or should stand for that.
